Cutting a Rug for My Birthday

My friends and I celebrated yesterday by removing an old and dusty carpet from my study. No, that is not me in the photo: I was busy photographing the workers. The effort was fueled by homemade chocolate birthday cake. My computer got so excited that it conked out and will have to go for treatment tomorrow. (I'm blogging chez Noorster!)

Jo Spanglemonkey offered to give me a pony. I ungraciously rejected the generous offer, mostly because of the neigh..bors. (They would be too jealous.) Thanks anyhow, Jo.

WEll I did not know it was your birthday !!!! But here's to a Happy Belated Birthday anyway.
I got a good chuckle out of "cutting a rug" I could just imagine you dancing at a disco.

I've really gotten to hate carpet. I don't like to sweep floors either but at least I can see I'm getting the dust and dirt.
I'd love to "cut out" my carpeting too!
A very happy BDay Savta! And a good Yom Tov.

Another birthday? Has it been a year already? How time flies.

Best wishes for the coming year!

Yes, Udge, another year gone whoooosh just like that. I had an annual bone density test yesterday and discovered that I am the same height as last year and one kilo lighter. This is most encouraging.

Tamar - I'm not so sure I want the mea v'esrim shan, but I'll be pleased with some more days feeling as well as I do now. Hag Pesach Sameach to you!

Golden Lucy - with tile floors and lots of hot weather, carpet really doesn't make any sense at all. I think this is the final stage in my absorption to Israeli culture.

john - Well, if I were going to Georgia I wouldn't spend my last weekend cutting up some 27-year-old's rug. Which is almost the same age, by the way, and in worse shape.

Chancy - I didn't know until my computer returned to life today that I share a birthday with Ronni! Your idea of me dancing at a disco is not so far-fetched...I'm going to start dancing lessons after the Holidays!

That pony is still standing around pooping in my yard. You sure? A PONY!

Jo, I am pretty certain that pony has a better life in your yard than he would have in Tel Aviv. Please refer to my March 13, 2005 post (the URL might run off the margin):

Or maybe you could discuss boarding him at elswhere's? I'm sure Mermaid Girl would be thrilled.
