It's My War Too

I plan go home to Tel Aviv on schedule, and here's why: when my nearest and dearest have a crisis, I want to be with them. I have just visited my brother, my daughter's family and my son's family. As far as I can tell, none of them is in crisis, and as much as I would love to be with them once a week for eternity, we've been getting along pretty well without that. Israel is my family too. I may just have to create recipes for alcoholic soups, because my war coping mechanism involves cooking.

Thank you dear PPB. I'm feeling all torn up and enjoying my granddaughter at the same time.

I've been thinking about you everyday this past two weeks. I was offline or I would have written.
Your post touched me deeply. I agree. Our "family" needs us. I will do that I can. Am Israel Chai!
Your apple pie post touched me deeply. I will share it. If you are on your way home I pray for a safe return to Tel Aviv.

Yay!

Savta, TLV isn't the same without you. We are pieless and soupless and a naughty man with a manic grin wants to shower us with missiles. Hurry home!!

I wondered what you were thinking. I'm watching the news right now; it's such a shame.

Please do take care of yourself. Desperately worried as usual. Safe travels,

How about adding a few healthy shots of Kahlua to a cream soup? That would be very good, I should think. Or, since it's summer, you could just cut a whole in a watermelon and pour in an entire bottle of vodka over the course of a few days. Could be quite refreshing!

Never mind soup...I've just discovered the Joy of Margaritas. Hizbullitas?

Be safe on your journey home and in the days that follow.

Alcoholic soup yum. But I would prefer the Margarita.

You're amazing. Hizbollitas?? :DDDDD!!! Make sure you pour some Noorster's throat, she seems to think pure vodka is tasty. Stay on the pavement.

Hizbollitas sounds great to me, the right drink and the right attitude. Have a safe flight and a good homecoming.

Savta, you are irreplaceable!

Can I officially request the recipes for both Hizbollitas and Alcoholic Soup? I need to cheer up Jerusalem.
