After a walk in the rain with the dog, dry warm socks are really the best! The keenly observant viewer will see that I ran out of main color on the second sock, creating a more fanciful pair than one usually finds in shops.
Thanks for the compliments. They're most encouraging, especially if instead of being "weird" it turns out that my socks are actually "kewl." All my childhood I hated my kinky hair, and then, in the '70's, it suddenly became fashionable to have "Afro" hair, even if you weren't African-American. I learned then that I could be fashionable without trying, if I happened to be myself in the right place at the right time.
Have you met Dixie? She knits as well and belongs to many knitting clubs. We met through another blogger and bonded because her husband is a quadriplegic like me. She was transplanted from the south to Germany (by choice) dixie I never did anything creative like that even when I could. Didn't have the patience or most likely the talent... :-)

Mmmmm....yes...I guess fanciful is as good a description as any, if you have run out of synonyms for "weird".
But they do look "toasty."
Hoss - John supplied me with a synonym for "weird" - "Israeli."
John - If you know how to knit, or want to learn, I'll show you how to make your own.
I like'm better than if they were solid. Lovely. In my eyes.
