I've actually discovered that whenever I need a word in Hebrew that doesn't come to mind, if I say it in English with an Israeli accent, nobody even notices, given that Israelis like to slip English words into their Hebrew. Works every time!

I do the same now that my Hebrew accent is improving faster than my vocabulary.

Savta,
Did you speak any Hebrew before you moved to Israel? I can't imagine how brave you had to be to move the way you did...It's very inspirational.
Seems to me that any lanuguage today relects the global community. Spanglish here in the South West is a great example. So much to learn....

It's a tossup between brave and dumb. No Hebrew. Only English. And I was formerly fluent in French, which for some reason made me think I could learn Hebrew more easily. How dumb is that?

Apparently it's true, even when I don't know any Hebrew at all!
